Alyson Scurfield, Chief Executive at TEC Services Association (TSA) – the voice of technology enabled care

As a key thought leader, Alyson has held a number of leadership positions, focusing on driving standards, quality improvement and workforce development both via TSA involvement in policy development and in setting sector service quality benchmarks in the UK and Europe with TEC Quality and UKAS. She is a Trustee of the International Longevity Centre, the UK’s specialist think tank on the impact of longevity on society.

Passionate about how technology can transform care, Alyson is also driving the industry agenda for quality and continuous improvement with the TEC Quality standards framework to support population health. Alyson’s vision is for TSA to drive innovation to achieve integration of health, housing and social care.

John Livermore, ALL IP Industry Engagement Manager, Openreach

John has worked in the Telecommunications industry for over 30 years and has a background in Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Project and Product Management. During that time he also worked in the alarm industry for over 10 years.

He joined Openreach in October 2020 from BT Security to lead on the All IP Programme, having had a similar role for BT in 2018.

Phil Cain, Industry and Vendor Liaison, TalkTalk

Phil Cain is Industry and Vendor Liaison for TalkTalk. He joined TalkTalk in January 2020, having previously worked for BT plc for over 40 years, the latter years undertaking a similar role to his current one working on the All IP transformation programme. In addition to representing TalkTalk on the All IP transformation programme, Phil also manages the TalkTalk Test Lab in Irlam in Manchester.

Nick Earle, CEO, Eseye

Nick is Chairman and CEO of Eseye, an Internet of Things (IoT) company with offices in 7 countries, more than 2000 customers across 170 countries and is deploying its IoT Platform solution in large Enterprises including 4 of the Fortune 10.

Nick spent two years at Virgin Hyperloop One, the leading company in creating and implementing the first new mode of mass transportation since the airplane. Prior to this, Nick was responsible for the CiscoSystems global Cloud and Managed Services business and also led Cisco Services worldwide field organisation. He has held senior executive roles at Hewlett Packard and is an authority on emerging and disruptive business models, co-authoring two books. He was voted #2 in Computer Reseller News list of the 25 most ‘Disruptive Channel Executives in IT globally’.

Nick holds a first class honors degree and an Honorary Doctorate in Computing from Liverpool University and is an Associate fellow of the University of Bradford MBA programme. He was recently awarded the ‘Mover and Shaker’ award by Juniper Research for commanding Eseye into an enviable position in the IoT space.

Peter Kerly, MD, Everon UK

With over 35 years’ experience within the Health, Housing, Social Care and Technology arena, Peter joined Everon, the European market leader in digital grouped living solutions in 2020, having spent 2 years at Metropolitan Housing. His technology industry experience includes Telehealth Solutions, Medvivo, Tunstall and BT.

Peter has a vision to create and consolidate an integrated, proactive, model of care where data can be used to determine a potential risk reducing the reliance on the current reactive model of care that has been in operation for over 40 years. The proposed BT infrastructure upgrade brings enormous opportunities to forward thinking companies and commissioners alike.

Jeremy Porteus, CE, Housing LIN

Jeremy was formerly National Lead for Housing at the Department of Health responsible for the Extra Care Housing Fund and the Prevention Technology Grant programme.

After leaving the Department, he founded the independent Housing LIN (Learning and Improvement Network), bringing together over 25,000 housing, health and social care practitioners in England, Wales and Scotland to identify and showcase innovative housing and technology enabled solutions for an ageing population.

Jeremy is Inquiry Secretariat to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Housing and Care for Older People Inquiry on housing and dementia. Jeremy sits on the Government’s Homes for 2030 Board and Innovate UK’s Healthy Ageing Advisory Board. He is also vice-chair of the Housing & Ageing Alliance.
